Colina do Sol Rules and Regulations Brazil's overall acceptance of nudism that is part of the Naturist lifestyle, can be traced back beyond the 500 plus years that the European explorers came to this beautiful country. Assimilated into the traditional Brazilian lifestyle, these mostly Spanish and Portuguese explorers, soldiers, their African slaves, and missionaries succumbed to this stress free lifestyle, a lifestyle that protects not only the respect for one’s body, but also the preservation of the land and environment where the body dwells. Even today, in the far Northwest reaches of Brazil are enclaves set aside to protect the indigenous people, a people without clothing that have never experienced the shame of Adam an Eve. Escaping the ravages of war torn Europe, lives without promise, or just seeking adventure, or joining their relatives, more Europeans came later to the shores and interior of Brazil, bringing with them ideas, concepts and traditions. Today, many of them and their descendants have joined together in creating the Modern Day Naturism of Brazil. |

The Colina do Sol (Hill of the Sun) Naturist Community is the realization of a dream that was developed by a unique couple, Celso and Paula. Like his father, Celso studied to become a lawyer, but with one course remaining at the University he decided that the practice of law was not for him. Instead, he decided to follow his heart and to look for a life that would provide more peace and freedom. He established Brazil's first Naturist Club, The Club of Pinho Beach at Praia do Pinho (Beach of the Pines), SC, Brazil, in 1986. That was 1986, the officially recognized beginning of Brazil’s modern day Naturist movement. Having overcome political, religious and cultural taboos that foreign influences attempted to establish, Naturism in Brazil is now protected by the law and receives the full support of the Brazilian people, government and institutions. Generally, Naturists receive positive, respectful recognition, and enjoy an elevated stature within Brazilian society The
development of Colina do Sol Geographic & Topographic Characteristics
In the community's
unique scenic locations, are plans to build more entertainment centers,
taverns and restaurants that will take advantage of the pleasing views.
Here, it is possible to appreciate both the sunrise and sunset. A view
of more than 50 km (31 miles), atop the "Colina" (hill), as
resident Naturists refer to it, is located on the highest peak of the
region. Higher than the frosts and fogs of the lower regions, at an altitude
of 200 meters (655 feet) above sea level, and lower than the cold air
of the mountains, even Winter's weather is pleasant. Located below the
Equator, Brazil's Summer Season takes place when it is wintertime in Europe,
and North America. |

The Colina do Sol Naturist Club - CNCS, was created for the improvement and further development of the Naturist activities at Colina do Sol. It solidifies the participation of each of the Naturists while they are in the process of exercising their personal ideals as they may relate to the overall Naturist Movement. The total social and residential area of Colina do Sol belongs to the CNCS, with a portion owned by the Ocara Hotel and Restaurant company. In it, the Club offers to its members, guests and visitors a varied infrastructure of leisure activities. On weekends and during holidays when more people utilize the Club's facilities, sports and cultural activities are abundant. Administration The CNCS is the administrator and collector of the funds provided by Entrance Fees, Priority Membership Titles and monthly dues. The Club is also responsible for the controlling of the entrance of people into Colina do Sol, and the implementation of the rules of conduct as stipulated by the Brazilian Federation of Naturism, FBrN, by the General Assembly of the CNCS, and by Colina do Sol's Deliberative Council.
